In August 2021, Researchscape International conducted a poll commissioned by NPO Washington to determine the attitudes of those in Washington concerning shared parenting when parents live apart. This is the same poll that NPO is slowly conducting across all 50 states with more information at https://www.sharedparenting.org/shared-parenting-polling.
The takeaway for Washington State legislators is that:
92% of those in Washington expressed a commitment to vote their beliefs being “more likely to vote for a candidate who supports children spending equal or nearly equal time with each parent …when both parents are fit and willing to be parents.”
The bottom line is that legislators who wish to gain support from their constituents should support equal shared parenting.
